Bahia Norte Concessionaire is formed by a system of six highways that make up 121 kilometers (km) and integrate eight municipalities from the Metropolitan Region of Salvador – Pojuca, Mata de São João, Dias D’Avila, Camaçari, Simões Filho, Lauro de Freitas, Salvador and Candeias – with more than four million inhabitants.
The roads comprise one of the major product and service movement and distribution corridors in Bahia, linking the Aratu Industrial Center (CIA), the Camaçari Industrial Complex, the Aratu Port Terminal and the Salvador International Airport. With the duplication of 42 km of the streets, the commute time between the Salvador capital and factories in the Camaçari Industrial Center was cut by an entire hour.
In recognition of the concession's quality, the opinion poll conducted in 2013 revealed that 79% of those interviewed considered the Bahia Norte concessionaire to be a serious company that provided high quality services.
